5th Annual Business and Career Fair-Huron School District

The objective of South Dakota Week of Work is to provide a platform for students to be introduced to career opportunities in their own communities through job shadows, industry tours, and other business-classroom connections. It's a week of exploration, with the aim of guiding students, engaging local businesses, and introducing employers to their future workforce. Think of it as a long-term investment in South Dakota's future.

Career fairs are an opportunity for students to learn more about the industries and careers that interest them directly from community members who were once in their shoes — beginning the exciting process of discovering their talents and passions.

Whether you have an opportunity for students to gain work-based learning, are available to answer the burning questions students have about your profession, or just want to share your passions and expertise, you can make a difference in the school community — and in the lives of students.

We expect over 1,000 9th - 12th grade students from Huron and surrounding communities to attend. We encourage your display to be as hands-on, demonstrative, or as interactive as possible. There is no cost to participate.
