2nd Annual Battle of the Badges to Benefit Deputy Craig Kasse
Our friend and colleague, Deputy Craig Kasse, received news that no one ever wants to hear. He has been diagnosed with Splenic marginal zone Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. As a brother in our Law Enforcement family we always look out for each other. This year, all of the proceeds from our Battle of the Badges fundraiser will be donated directly to Deputy Kasse and his family to assist with the costs associated with his cancer treatments. We would like to think of this year’s BotB as a benefit for Craig and his family. The Huron Fire Department will again be participating in the BotB with us and have put their full support behind this benefit.
In addition to participating in the BotB, the members of the local Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 3A Union will be giving a monetary gift directly to the family. The FOP 3A will be presenting their donation to Craig and his family during the softball game.
We would like to reach out to the members of our community and local businesses to raise even more funds for Craig. This year’s BotB will be held at Klock Field on August 21st at 3:00PM. If any local businesses make a donation they will be recognized during the BotB softball game. They will also be allowed to promote their business at the ball game.
