- CALL TO ORDER
- Approve the minutes of August 14, 2013.
- Approval of the Parks & Recreation Bills.
- Approval of the Parks & Recreation Agenda.
- Old Business
- Consider Capital Outlay Committee request of further priority listing for the 2014 budget. Action needed: Discuss and decide on project priorities as the budget cuts allow.
- Review the schedule for Splash Central/Central Park and the hours of operation. Action needed: None, Watertown, Huron, and a couple Sioux Falls pools are open in the vicinity through Labor Day with limited hours scheduled. Mention any discount in daily admission considered.
- Mention the Master Plan agreement proposal from Stockwell Engineers and the timing for signage and the work with public meetings to proceed. Action needed: Based on agreement.
- Mention mosquito spraying schedule for the summer and golf course spraying. Action needed: Based on agreement.
- New Business
- Mention Hockey Association plans for summer and items that need to be understood/worked out. Action needed: Based on agreements and contracts.
- Update the board on irrigation and landscape work that needs to be addressed for Splash Central/Central Park. Action needed: The general contractor and our consultant is aware of the issues and costs incurred to allow usage of the areas during the summer and what needs to be replaced or improved next Spring.
- Mention request for a one year contract agreement at Ravine Lake Park for next year. Action needed: Based on notice necessary.
- Mention waterline work at Riverside Park. Action needed: Based on budget and agreement.
- Mention infield work at Memorial Baseball Field that may need to be done. Action needed: Based on items for the State VFW Junior Legion Tournament in 2014.
