Position: Car Porter

Location: Iverson Auto, Mitchell, SD
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Responsibilities:

• Safely move vehicles around the dealership lot, service areas, and detail bays.
• Assist with vehicle check-in and check-out processes.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicles, including interior and exterior washing as needed.
• Assist the service and sales departments with customer pick-up/drop-off and vehicle delivery.
• Fuel vehicles and ensure they are ready for customer delivery.
• Performing maintenance tasks, such as topping off vehicle fluids, charging batteries etc.
• Cleaning the auto dealership parking lot, shop area, including picking up trash and removing snow or ice.
• Starting vehicles regularly and making sure there aren’t any issues with them.
• Running errands for various departments, including sales, parts and service dept.
• Pick up and deliver customer vehicles.
• Routinely assist with towing disabled vehicles.
• Perform other general duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to safely operate a wide variety of vehicles, including automatic and manual transmissions.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and good communication skills.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and be outdoors for extended periods in all weather conditions.
