Position Summary
The Membership Services Director is responsible for growing and retaining membership and maintaining accurate membership information. The position will work with members to promote their business working with the Ambassador Committee to host Chamber Mixers, Ribbon Cuttings and Anniversary events. The Membership Director maintains accounts receivable and past due records and keeps in good communication with team to ensure accurate information is being relayed from recruitment and retention visits.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records in Chamber Master of members, non-members, volunteers and sponsorships.
- Lead staff on the acquisition and retentions of members and development of programs and initiatives designed to increase and retain membership.
- The staff liaison for the Ambassador Committee managing meetings, Mixers and Ribbon Cuttings and all activities of the Ambassador committee.
- Lead staff for the preparations for Shop Huron events.
- Lead staff for the Retail and Restaurant/bar committees to develop and help promote those businesses
- Will prepare weekly deposits, monthly statements and invoices and export from Chamber Master to Quickbooks
- Huron Bucks Reconciliation – works with Administrative Assistant and Bookkeeper to maintain accurate records
- Handles the renewals of our Domain names
- Prepare a monthly written activity report to the President/ CEO for Board of Director’s review
- Communicate with office personnel and President /CEO to ensure all records, programs and events are being maintained as accurately as possible
- Position involves weekends and evenings as needed to perform job responsibilities
- Perform and execute other duties and assume other responsibilities as required and assigned by the President / CEO
- Possess excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Public speaking skills necessary
- Strong organizational skills, detail orientated and able to multi-task with ability to prioritize
- Self-reliant and able to work independently
- Requires sufficient physical capacity to service indoor and outdoor events and activities including ability to lift 35 pounds
- Possesses computer skills to maximize productivity (Microsoft Office, Publisher, Chamber Master, Constant Contact, Excel etc)
